Assalamualaikum brothers and sisters, this might be what some of you prefer to call a wake up call. Basically I was just wondering about why, 2 years ago, when someone told me that as Muslims we had to practice Islam fully and as way of life, I just thought it was IMPOSSIBLE. I mean, yeah, so we can do the 5 times a day thingy and the fasting InsyaAllah, but, having it as a system of LIFE? What?YEah right. That’s how I used to think. I thought the world was already so damn dark that there was nothing that could CLEAN up all the mess, as in all the wars, and corruption and fucking around and the list goes on and on.

Then I came across an article by Muhammad Assad, an Austrian writer who converted to Islam only at the age of 40 i think, after spending nearly his whole life in Arabia and living with the Muslims. He was a very prominent writer of his time, just search his name on the net and you’ll see tons of good stuff on him. And he was the first writer I read who was a non-MUSLIM who wrote about Islam being a, SYSTEM. Or if some of u would put it, ( in the most abused term of all time) , A WAY OF LIFE. HE talked about how Islam was different from any other ideologies, in that it’s theories could ALL be put into practice and how the other systems like capitalism and communism were so much trying to be perfect but never EVER came close to the BEAUTY of Islam. So, what the hell is the beauty of Islam,that’s gonna take a whole book to explain.

I just wanna talk about system. It’s funy how so many of us, when I talk about life, they dont really wanna think about it, they dont wanna listen. THey think, oh, this life is just a jolly happy one, with NO STRINGS ATTACHED. OR so they think. Every person on earth, lives in a system, regardless of whether they REALIZE it or not. If you have’nt realized it, youre still asleep. If u have realized it, ALhamduliLLAh. The thing is, do you realize the nature of the system we are all living in today?

If you went back a few decades ago, and stayed in Russia or China, yeah, you’d hear a lot about communism and how good it is, and all that crap, but in our AGE, we are ACTUALLY living in CAPITALISM, while the founders of capitalism, and the practitioners, dont even mention the word ‘capitalism’. It is like a thing that everybody accepted and no one TALKED about it, unlike COMMUNISM. This i think, makes it even more dangerous, since people will go on talking about famine, poverty and all sorts of problems in the world, and they wouldnt even think at all that it all comes down to how we RULE our lives.

Yeah we have some people who say, Fuck it, I dont give a shit about systems,but, like it or not, everyone is pulled into the system, unless you’re a farmer who grows his own food, and has some chickens, and doesnt live with the outside world and u live and die without influencing any other ORGANISM, then you could PERHAPS say that you are not influenced by any system. Other than that, you ARE in the CAPITALIST’s REALM. Some morons can go on for days about how life should be free ( as in,,really free) and no system should govern their lives and that society should go fuck itself and to hell with all laws. HAha,really funny, I could bet that there were so many nations before who tried doing that, or just take for example, the hippies and their "REVOLUTION". Revolution indeed, see how they screwed up?

Okay!! So I am being too HARSH on some of u guys out there but my point is, I just want u guys to think, about what were in, where we are, what is our purpose ( besides playing soccer and going to class and eating and drinking and etc), and whether we REALLY ARE in control of our lives as we think we are. Not talking about anything heavy yet, but I’ll give you an example, I dont like this example but it does have a good analogy, say we are all in the MATRIX ( capitalism), and we’re all just being BRED to FEED the SYSTEM, find money,money,money,spend,spend,buy,buy,REPRODUCE,REPRODUCE, DIE and the cycle goes on. Now, for those of you who are already thinking about his, congratulations!!! YOu have succesfully unINSTALLED yourself from the matrix. Or Unplugged as the movie geeks insist.

AND for those of you who are still sleeping, I hope you can at LEAST start to think about this and dont be pathetic like the other bugger who just eat and reproduce and die and dont even realize that thier lives were just SPENT to serve something so stupid, as THE MATRIX. IT doesnt have to be capitalism, it can be any system, just that, keeping in mind, I’ll explain next time, why ISLAM is THE UNPLUGGING WIRE whatever and that without it, we WILL be mere zombies thirsting for stupid stuff like money, sex, cars and the such. None of these are wrong, just dont you think it is a little bit stupid to have your whole life devoted to getting only that stuff?
